James Bryan is responsible for researching, developing, and commissioning all Arden building mechanical systems. This includes implementing corporate strategies for project development to achieve enhanced net operating income (NOI), capital expenditure, and construction projects. Over the course of his career, Mr. Bryan has served on the California Energy Commission; on the Building Energy Efficiency Program, Program Advisory Committee; and the Lighting Research Program, Program Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Arden Realty, Mr. Bryan held the position of Chief Engineer for ABM Engineering, where he oversaw engineering operations for 6.5 million square feet of commercial real estate.
Tav Commins, Mechanical Engineer

Mr. Commins has worked at the Energy Commission for 10 years. During this time he has managed the State's Energy Hotline, which answers questions about California's energy code. He also led the incorporation of building commissioning ("Acceptance Requirements") into the 2005 Title 24 Building Standards. Mr. Commins helped start the California Commissioning Collaborative, and set up and ran the Collaborative for two years. He also trains building officials on the state energy codes and conducts complaint investigations on new homes.
Greg Cunningham, AIA, Co-Principal

Mr. Cunningham has more than 30 years of experience in design and construction focusing on building energy efficiency solutions. He is a member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA) and a former member of the Professional Advisory Group (PAG) to the California Energy Commission for the development of the Title 24 Standards. Mr. Cunningham is a USGBC LEEDª Accredited Professional and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He received his B.A. in Architecture from U.C. Berkeley and M.E.P. in Energy Technology from Arizona State University.
Donald (Don) Frey, Principal / Executive Vice President

Mr. Frey serves as Chairperson of the California Commissioning Collaborative Advisory Council. He has been involved in business management; project management; engineering; and building energy-related research, design, and development for more than 29 years. He is a registered professional engineer in Colorado and Tennessee. In 1982 he co-founded Architectural Energy Corporation, where he is currently Executive Vice President. Mr. Frey's professional career has focused on improving building energy performance. His work has included developing and applying innovative building performance evaluation techniques, participating in product development and assessment projects, and conducting field demonstrations. He is currently working on research and demonstration projects with government organizations, utility companies, and private industry clients.
Ken Gillespie Technologist

Mr. Gillespie has 28 years of performance test and monitoring experience in utility and building applications. He currently provides project management, QA or consulting services for various PG&E departments and CEC PIER projects. Mr. Gillespie is an Associate Member of ASHRAE and a founding member of the California Commissioning Collaborative. He is a current member of the following ASHRAE project committees: GPC22P, GPC30P and SGPC13. He was vice chair of ASHRAE project committees that produced Guideline 14-2002 and Guideline 1-1996. He was also a member of ASHRAE project committee that produced Standard 150-2000. He also was the principal investigator of PG&E's Commissioning Test Protocol Library Project.
Richard A. Greco

Richard Greco has more than 35 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems supporting complex technical facilities. He has extensive executive management experience operating business units specializing in post-construction services for mission critical facilities. Mr. Greco is a LEED¨ Accredited Professional and is a member of ASHRAE, IEEE and IFMA. He has served on many standards committees regarding mission critical infrastructures. Additionally, he teaches a University of California Extension class on the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems. He is widely published and a frequent speaker on topics of interest to the mission critical industry, such as the commissioning of new and existing buildings, operations and maintenance risk management, and high-density data centers.
Satinder "Steve" Gulati, University Engineer

Mr. Gulati has served as University Engineer at the California State University (CSU), Office of the Chancellor for six years. He is responsible for providing system-wide support to the CSU campuses and managing the CSU major capital projects. He is also responsible for the CSU Mechanical Review Board. He has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and telecommunication systems. Mr. Gulati is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California in Mechanical and Fire Protection Engineering. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Delhi, India.
Paul Ham

Mr. Ham currently serves as Target's commissioning group manager and is responsible for defining, implementing and overseeing both the commissioning and demand side energy management programs for Target. These programs focus primarily on enhancing the life cycle performance of Target facilities by optimizing the way energy consuming equipment is designed, installed, operated and maintained.
Prior to Target, Mr. Ham worked as a consulting engineer helping owners in the governmental, institutional, commercial and health care industries define and implement programs related to commissioning, energy efficiency, sustainability and facility support services.
Mr. Ham has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University, is a registered professional engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Philip Haves

Philip Haves is the Leader of the Commercial Building Systems Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received a B.A. in physics from Oxford University and a Ph.D. in radio astronomy from Manchester University before turning to research in building physics. His current work includes the development of automated fault detection and diagnosis tools for use in building commissioning and performance monitoring and the development of computer simulation tools to support the design of low energy buildings. He is a Fellow of ASHRAE and a former President of the U.S. chapter of the International Building Performance Simulation Association.
Randall Higa, P.E.

Mr. Higa has been with Southern California Gas Company (SoCal Gas) for 12 years, working with the residential and commercial building industry to promote energy efficiency. Prior to joining SoCal Gas, he worked for 13 years in engineering and architecture firms designing and managing various commercial and institutional projects, including hospitals, schools, office buildings, retail, labs, and data processing facilities. He is a member of several professional organizations and currently serves on the ASHRAE 90.1 Technical Committee and is a board member of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools. He graduated from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at UCLA and has taken graduate architecture courses in building climatology and energy conservation design. He is registered as a mechanical engineer in California and Nevada.

Ed Jerome has more than 14 years of experience developing, quantifying, and managing energy and resource efficiency projects. He is highly skilled in energy management principles, savings quantification, measurement & verification techniques, and implementation strategies for resource conservation projects within commercial, industrial, and agricultural facilities. Mr. Jerome has lead and performed detailed retro-commissioning activities for more than 3.5 million square feet of large commercial and institutional building space. He has performed and/or managed more than 200 preliminary and detailed energy surveys within commercial, industrial, and agricultural facilities and has performed numerous demand response audits for a variety of customer types.
David Jump, Ph.D., P.E.

Mr. Jump is the Engineering Director for QuEST, a firm specializing in retro-commissioning (RCx) services and programs, measurement and verification (M&V) services, and energy project development and implementation services. He has helped develop and manage technical services for more than $14 million in energy efficiency programs that provide building retro-commissioning services. Mr. Jump's expertise in commercial HVAC and control systems, data acquisition and analysis, fault diagnostic techniques, and building energy analysis has enabled him to write chapters in M&V guidelines, develop guidelines for assessing measurement cost effectiveness, and author several technical papers and presentations. Along with CCC Advisory Board participation, Mr. Jump also serves on the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol Technical Committee, and is currently vice president of the Building Commissioning Association's Southwest Chapter.

He is a founding member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA) and played a leading role in defining the "Essential Attributes of Building Commissioning" for the BCA. Mr. Keithly is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED¨ Accredited Professional, as well as an active member of the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International (CEFPI) and the Washington State School Facilities Advisory Board.

Mr. Pico brings over 15 years of experience in the HVAC, TAB and commissioning industry. Mr. Pico is the administrator for one of largest Sheet Metal and HVAC training programs in the United States. Mr. Pico is responsible for the training of over 800 Sheet Metal and HVAC apprentices, 5000 Journeypersons and operating in five training centers in 17 Bay Area Counties. Mr. Pico has served as technical editor for training curriculum used across the United States in the Sheet Metal Industry. He is certified as a TAB Supervisor and Technician by the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau as well as a Certified Technician by the National Air Filtration Association. Prior to his current position, Mr. Pico was a Balance and Commissioning Foreman for Therma Inc., one of the largest full service mechanical contractors in California.
Tony Pierce

Reinhard Seidl started his career in Europe, where he completed a Master's degree in mechanical engineering. He moved to California after four years as a project engineer with a Dutch multinational firm, involved in international contracting in Africa and the Middle East for industrial projects. His experience in the US includes nine years as a project engineer and project manager for a mechanical contractor in the commercial, biotech, and semiconductor sectors. In 2003, he joined the consulting firm Taylor Engineering in Alameda, California, where he is currently a Principal. In recent years, he has focused on controls and commissioning work, is a member of the ASHRAE guideline committee GPC30 for commissioning existing buildings, and has published several articles on commissioning. In collaboration with PG&E, he has helped develop the Universal Translator, a tool for analyzing trend data on commissioning and energy retrofit projects.

Craig Sheehy is currently responsible for the implementation of Thomas Properties Group's $500,000,000 national Green Building Fund. He has been traveling throughout North America promoting his environmental project, Greening Your Building Towards Your Bottom Line. His building (Joe Serna, Jr. Ð Cal/EPA Headquarters building), a 950,000 square foot high rise in Sacramento, was recognized as one of the most energy efficient high-rises in the U.S. through ENERGY STAR© and was awarded the Platinum Certification through the United States Green Building Councils LEED-EB program. The building was also the 2004 winner of BOMA Internationals TOBY Earth Award. In addition to his work for Thomas Properties Group, Mr. Sheehy is President of BOMA International's Pacific Southwest Region, the Vice-Chair of Governor Schwarzenegger's Real Estate Industry Leadership Council, and a member of the United States Green Building Council.

Mr. Wimer brings to the CCC a successful 30-year career in business operations. He currently manages the operation of the NCEMBT and forges the market transformation efforts to commercial and institutional partners, state and government agencies, and professional and trade organizations. In this role, he provides leadership in advancing the mission of the NCEMBT to expand educational and professional knowledge, generate employment opportunities (through training) and create policy for the benefit of public health and economic growth. Prior to joining the NCEMBT, Mr. Wimer spent more than 20 years with G.R. Sponaugle & Sons, Inc., where he provided effective business management of day-to-day operations. This included budget and profit delivery, which was a significant contribution to the success of the company.
